Privacy Policy

Overview

Claw Actions ("the App") is a native iOS companion app for OpenClaw. It is developed by Hristo ("I", "me"). Your privacy is important to me. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data That Stays on Your Device

Claw Actions is designed as a client that connects directly to your own self-hosted OpenClaw Gateway. The following data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to me or any third party:

  • Gateway connection details (URL, hostname) — stored in local app storage
  • Authentication tokens — stored securely in the iOS Keychain
  • Your defined actions (names, prompts, icons, colors, execution modes)
  • Chat messages and session history
  • Cron job data displayed in the app

All communication between Claw Actions and your OpenClaw Gateway happens over a direct WebSocket connection between your device and your server. I have no access to this traffic.

Analytics

Claw Actions uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps me understand how the App is used and improve it over time. The analytics data includes:

  • App opens and screen views
  • Feature usage patterns (e.g., which tabs are used most)
  • Crash and error reports
  • Device type and iOS version

Analytics data does not include:

  • Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
  • Chat message content
  • Action prompts or their content
  • Gateway URLs, tokens, or connection details
  • Any data from your OpenClaw instance

No Account Required

Claw Actions does not require you to create an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no personal information collected by me. The App connects directly to your own infrastructure.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

  • PostHog — for anonymous usage analytics. PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.

The App does not use advertising networks, does not sell data, and does not share data with any other third parties.

Data Retention

Local data is retained on your device until you delete the App or clear its data. Analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their data retention policies.

Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Delete all local data by uninstalling the App
  • Request deletion of analytics data by contacting me at the email below

Children's Privacy

Claw Actions is not directed at children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
